UpVantage Safety Leadership Program: Terms of Service

The purpose of the exposure analysis and leadership development components in this course is to strengthen supervisors’ ability to recognize potential sources of risk and lead their teams more effectively. This zero harm program provides leadership education — focused on identity, mindset, communication, and relational behaviors that support a values-driven safety always culture.

This program is not technical safety instruction, engineering analysis, a compliance guide, or a substitute for company safety programs. It does not teach task-level procedures, identify every possible hazard, or address all regulatory or industry-specific requirements across the United States, Canada, Mexico, or other jurisdictions. The concepts presented should not be relied upon as the sole basis for safety decisions.

Each employer remains solely responsible for:

• complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards;

• providing job-specific training, competent supervision, and validated work procedures;

• conducting hazard assessments, implementing controls, and maintaining safe equipment and processes; and

• ensuring their workforce receives necessary technical, regulatory, and operational instruction.

Participants are responsible for applying the leadership education in this course in alignment with their organization’s policies, procedures, and legal obligations.
